My FIL got an older bulldozer a couple weeks ago and since I can't get my husband or kids off of it I thought I would make one for Father's day. I think I've figured out how I'm going to do everything else but making the tracks has me a little confused. I want them to look like tracks, this is going to be 3d.

On this cake, I made a lopsided oval of cake and covered it in orange modeling chocolate, like the body of the dozer, then I made a strip of black modeling chocolate to wrap around that for the tread. I affixed the whole thing to the body of the dozer, then piped black icing lines on it to make the bumpies on the treads.
