I looked back in my Wilton course book, and it said "to stabalize fondant for flowers, etc., add 2 teaspoons to Gum-Tex to 24 ox. of rolled fondant. I would think you could still start over with your bow and add it to your MMF. In class, we just added the gum-tex to pre-made fondant. Hope this helps. Although it still took a while, the bow I made in class dried very hard.
Once had a cake that became tacky and sticky when I took it out of the refrigerator on a very humid day (it wasn't all that hot). The customer was going to pickup the cake in about 2 hours. So I placed the fan in front of the air conditioning unit and placed my cake in front of that. I had to rotate the cake every 15 min, but by the time the customer arrived, the cake was no longer tacky.
