Thanks for all your wonderful comments. My son bought me a new oven for Xmas last year and it bakes extremely well, every cake really puffs up. I could not get off work in time to make it to any of the cake stores and Michaels, Hobby Lobby etc did not have colums that were 9 inches. (my cake baked to a little over 5") Therefore I stopped at Wal Mart to see if by any chance they had something in their cake aisle. As I walked down one of the aisles in the plastic aisle there was this candy dish for $2.94 so I took it back to the cake aisle with me and the 8' plate just fits. It was my last resort...... and besides it was a lot cheaper than a $20.00 globe thing that Michaels had.

Great job. Very unique. I would have charged about 200.00 for the brides cake and maybe 50 for the grooms cake. If it was a friend I would have charged 200.00 total.

Thank y'all for all your kind comments. I really appreciate it!

P.S, today for an at home cake I tried pistachio pudding in a white cake. I then used Alton Browns Avacodo Icing receipe only I changed it a bit into Avacodo BC. Beautiful green color, trimmed it in white with the same roses as above. Very, very pretty!!
