First of all I would like to thank Rodneyck for the picture of inspiration. It was such a huge help icon_biggrin.gifI just found out that the photo of the inspiration cake was made by Meghan89. Sorry for not mentioning this earlier but I didn't know.
Here is a cake that I made for the friend of a co-worker. She said that her friend's hubby likes bathtub toys and fruity foofy drinks. How much should I charge for it? It took 2 cake batters and three batches of frosting. Not to mention the fondant!!! The tiles are fondant as well as the rest of the decorations. Except for the water which is gum paste.

All comments greatly appreciated icon_smile.gif

I forgot to mention that the cake is a Banana Layer cake made with 9 bananas and the frosting is Pina Colada BC with coconut in the filling bc.

The cake is an 11x15 sheet cake that I cut in half and then torted to get 4 layers. They wanted a cake that would feed 20. But with the size of this cake it will feed at least 40. I told her it was going to be a big cake and she said she didn't mind left overs icon_smile.gif

Well, I don't know what your area will allow, but it wouldn't leave my kitchen for less than $75!

Thanks everyone. I feel better now knowing I didn't under price myself. I told her $85. I just wanted to make sure everyone else thought it was a fair price.

OMG is that cute!!! It's a unique design which in itself increases the value. Where else could you get a cake like that? I think your $85 was a good estimate. Add in the special flavor and filling, you could probably have asked $100.

I felt really good about the price. When she came to pick it up she just loved it and didn't act weird about the money at all. She even called me when she made it her destination to let me know that the cake made it there alright.
Thank you everyone for reassuring me about my pricing.
