I wish I knew how to make an espresso icon delivery.
So what kind of cake are you making? With what cha fillin' it?
I've made two cakes this evening to compare....
One was Dede Wilson's yellow cake and the other was Toba Garrett's buttermilk yellow cake.
Ever created either?
nooo, I haven't done either. I tend to use doctored mixes!
THe wedding I'm delivering tomorrow (today!) is a sunset theme. Bride's colors are orange, purple and pink. Serving 200 guests, I have a 16 inch square bottom tier, French Vanilla with raspberry BC filling, (which is comprised of 4 8-inch square cakes because my new 16 inch square pan doesn't fit in my oven!). Stacked on top of that is a 12 inch square tier, Double Coconut with Key Lime BC filling. Then up on pillars is a 6 inch round, also French Vanilla/rasp BC, around which is an edible image (or rather a series of them) of a photo of a sunset the bride picked out.
I am losing my mind because I'm still baking. I only have 1 8-inch square pan, so instead of baking 2x with the 16 inch, I'm baking 8x with the 8. It's getting on my nerves! I have just finished torting and filling the 12 inch square tier. Will crumb coat and then refrigerate for icing later. Still have to wrap my 20 inch square masonite board.
I'm tired.
DH tried to stay up with me but he fell asleep around midnite, so I put him to bed. He can drive me to the reception hall for the delivery I guess.
