I love how they make these roses. Just wish it was a bit slower so us beginners can study the how tos.
This is the basic techique in all the wilton books. The only difference is that they put a strip of color and allowed that to be the tip of the petals. HTH
if you look at it more closely it looks as if they are swirling 3/4 around on the first peddle spin. I was never taught that tecnique in a wiltons class
Wow! I book marked that one! I'll have to watch it about 70 times. I wish I were that fast. That was crazy how fast she did that rose! LOL! My roses still look horrible!
The one thing I noticed? The thickness of the buttercream! I will have to "thicken" mine up a bit!
Wow! That was soo cool! Thanks for sharing!
I believe that was a bakery in the Phillipines...It definetly sounded like they were speaking Tagalog and My husband is Filipino! I saved it to show him.
Oh....the flower was VERY cool!
Wow! I never even thought to check YouTube for cake decorating clips. Thanks for the idea!
That was incredible! So fast, and she makes it look so easy! I agree--that's no Wilton rose. Looks like instead of a mound, she almost makes a tepee? Then to add the petals like that. The striping makes it look really neat, but it would still have "wow factor" just because of how she does it. Thanks for sharing the site--I know I'll have to watch that quite a few more times!
I have watched this over and over and over and still cant do it.. Im not sure it its buttercream cause it looks very dense and they called it a cream rose. I read one of her other posts and they were in vietnam. so I doubt its tagalog. My kids are flip..lol..
This looks different than the Wilton rose. The middle is different.
Also, the icing seems "creamier"?
My roses always end up with ragged edges!
lol so do mine. I wish the person would respond back on the utube site about what type of frosting they used.
the video pics never seem to stay, they dissapear on me so I never really know what Im looking at until I click on the link. I wish they would fix it.
What about wilton's fluffy boiled icing recipe, the one that is kind like liquid marshmallow... do you think that might be it?
I like those a lot more than Wilton's roses! I love how she did the center petal. I think I will try to copy.
If I was a betting person I'd swear that was some kind of whipped cream frosting. She is handeling that bag like it weighs nothing!!! And I am going to try that too!!!
hey, its probably tip 127 and the buttercream has been well mixed a good ten minutes id say. makes it creamy but not stiff.
Wow! That was soo cool! Thanks for sharing!

Sorry but they were not talking in Tagalog. I wish they were though, then maybe I could pick up some tips
The icing that they were using kinda reminded me of the cakes back home. Soft, fluffy and great for piping. Ooohhh my mouth is watering now
well maybe some one on here might do a video tutorial and slow down for the technique. Well Im going to whip up some heavy cream and see if thats what they used and also go buy the bigger tip.
I came across this last week and I looked at every cake related clip. Really cool stuff.
You know what, I think it's made out of boiled icing we have in the Philippines. I will have to do a test run and see if it's dense enough to pipe roses. I just got a recipe from mbarbi. Will let you know if it works
