That must be new! I have been to that site, oh like a billion times, and I've never read that before! YAY! *puts it on her gift registry*

I was looking at her book today and was thinking of making the wedding dress cake (http://www.tobagarrett.com/cakes.html) some time this summer. I'm trying to figure out the sizes. The top looks like a 6-inch pan, but I'm unsure about the rest; I'm guessing 8 layers from a 9-inch pan! What do you think?? How would you do this?

She is absolutely amazing. Although I don't think I'd ever have enough money to spend that much on cake - there ARE people who have enough money. I always wonder when I watch those "Sweet 16" shows on MTV why the parents spend $100,000 on a sweet 16 party and then the cake looks like they bought it at the grocery store..... THESE are the kind of cakes they should be buying!!!

How do you write with the embroidery technique? Is it done with royal icing?

Maybe next week I will buy a dozen of these cookies for my neighbor's house warming party, better yet order a two dozen cookie bouquet ...hhhmmmmm.. but I am not married to Tom Cruise or Bill Gates, oh well ! My neighbor will just have to settle for my cookies, w/c is not really bad !! if I should say so myself.. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

You write with the embroidery technique by piping the letter and then making tight "stitches" over it.
