I bought a lb. of food grade silicone to attempt to make my own molds, as they can be so expensive. My plan is to make molds of seashells that are indigenous to this area.

Does anyone know how long to soak shells in a water/bleach solution in order to sanitize them to use in a mold?

Has anyone ever made silicone molds before? I might be in over my head...
