I was doing a trial run for a Nemo cake I need to do for next Saturday. I never used my 1st & Ten pan and wasn't quite sure how it would work.
Halfway thru the baking process the pan tipped to one side (like some cookie sheets pop up), I had it setting on a cookie sheet, but batter still made its way down to the bottom of the oven.
What advice can anyone give me so I won't have this happen on the real thing? The stand at the one end of the pan now sits up higher on one side (probably until it cools)
I'm baking at 325 too.
Hi Joshsmom, I bought the plain easter egg cake pans on ebay and it didn't have the rings that it was supposed to sit in to bake (shows you what you'll buy when you don't pay attention, but it was one of three pans that I wanted). Anyway, I went to my cake supply store and got the largest cookie cutter I could find, which was an apple, so I got a couple and they hold my pans just fine! IF you have a large cookie cutter give it a try. Janice
sorry .....but whats a 1st and ten pan........
