Hey guys, I sure would appreciate it if someone could help me out here. I am looking for a strawberry cream cheese filling. I did not know if I could just use the cream cheese filling and add fresh strawberries to it? I did not know how that would taste and also would I have to put it in the fridge? Thanks in advance for all input.

Maybe you could spread a layer of cream cheese icing and then swirl strawberry puree or preserves into the cream cheese icing? That sounds yummy to me! icon_smile.gif

Yes, you can do just that. I always make mine with cream cheese and pureed strawberries. I'll defrost some frozen strawberries, puree them and add to some cream cheese I whipped up after it softened up a bit...and mix until incorporated. I tried it with raspberries last week too.

Very good! Good luck!

I made some strawberry filling last week and I did exactly what it said but I had my husband taste it and it was bitter. I boiled the frozen strawberries with sugar and light syrup, then put the strawberries in the blender, mixed it with cream cheese and then it asked to whip some heavy cream and add it. I did all of that but was bitter. I ended up added the syrup and made it a little better. I was very disappointed. Any suggestions? icon_sad.gif

I've used the frozen whole ones and when I puree them I do add a bit of sugar to sweeten it up a bit.

Otherwise, I will use the Birdseye (I think it's birdseye) frozen strawberries that are in a syrup.

I haven't ran into the bitterness problem, sorry I can't help with that. But I've yet to add whipped cream also. Was the recipe from here? Maybe you could PM the person who submitted it?

Thank you for your reply. Yes, the recipe was from cake central and I will PM that person. I might try it without the cream.
