I can't decide what border to put around the bottom of each tier.

I need it to be easy because I'm going to be applying it onsight as I'm flying with this cake from Georgia to Utah in 7 days.

So...

What border would you suggest?

Is this a wedding cake? I usually use a bead border for wedding cakes.

Ditto momof4 - definitely a bead border.

I agree--bead is the way to go. Great cake, BTW!

Good luck with your flight!

I agree - bead border will look great with your cake.

a few people have been wondering about flying with cakes. If TSA would allow them to or not. Please write back and tell us your experience after your trip.

Thanks,
Christine

I think the bead border would look best. It is a beautiful cake. I too would love to know about flying with a cake. Please let us know.

Since the cake is sooo pretty, I think a simple bead border would look great. It will enhance it, not take away from it!

I too think a simple bead or pearl border done on each tier would be just enough and not take away from the beauty of the cake. I would use the same size piping tip to make the borders on each tier, like a #5 round tip.
