I am about to ice my sugar cookies with Antonia74
royal icing. I have been following the article she wrote but it does not say how to store the cookies as the icing dries. They need to dry for 12-18 hours. Do I need to cover them up or do they just set out uncovered? Any info would be helpful. This is for my nieces baptism this weekend and I want them to look nice! Thanks icon_smile.gif

I hate to bump myself but I am leaving for the evening. I have flooded my cookies. Do I just leave them out or do I need to cover them? It is not hot outside and the air is on in my house.

Thanks!

you can just stick them in a box in a single layer..........I usually just stick em' out on cookie sheets and put them up out of the reach of my kids........they will literally stay fresh and delicious for a few days uncovered...amazingly enough!!

I do the same thing, I just leave them out on the cooling racks after I decorate them..Sometimes I am busy and they sit there for 2 days..They still taste fresh..Not that I eat any icon_wink.gif

I am glad you asked... I have a baker's dozen of Relay for Life cookies sitting on my table right now wondering just your question. I am using my own recipes so I hope they will be o.k.
