Living in Australia there are a few cake decorators here that inspire me and make me feel that Im going to produce work like that too...
Just wondering who are the cake decorators that inspire you...
I would just like to get to know a few names of great cake decorators and their work who are from different parts of the world as they would have different cake decorating styles to what Ive seen and also to get more inspiration. Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

Some of my favorites include Eleanor Rielander of South Africa, Janette Pfertner of Texas, JoEllen Simon of Nebraska, ...good grief icon_redface.gif , I can't think of them all.

I hope others have a better detailed list than this.

Without thinking too much, these very talented people come to mind: Colette Peters, Polly Schoonmaker, Elisa Strauss, Rebecca Sutterby, Sharon (of Sharon's Sugar Shack), and Ron Ben Israel. thumbs_up.gif

Marina Sousa; Mike Carey and Bronwen Webber.

Sugarflowers: May I ask. How can I access Ms. Rielander's work? I LOVE South Africa (friends there) certainly would like to see work from a CAKE DECORATOR there! Tell me, what could be better? A country I love and a "hobby?" I love!

I am currently into 3-d sculpted cakes, so for me it would be Lindy Smith, Duff Goldman and Debbie Brown. I am fairly new at this and discovering new names all the time.

I love Sylvia Weinstock. Though I'm not sure if its for her fabulous cakes or her personality.

aine2,boonati,emmascakes,shirleyW........marina sousa, so many to mention, people here who are so creative and think outside the box. The best thing about these people is that they are so willing to share not only their work but their knowledge.

edited for spelling and punctuation, LOL but you can't make me like capitol letters.

Lindy Smith of England, Debbie Brown of England, Bronwen Weber, Marina Sousa, Michelle Bommarito, Elisa Strauss, Mike McCarey, Ron Ben-Israel, Of course Duff Goldman, Ewald Notter for sugar work, Alan Dunn and Nicholas Lodge for gumpaste flowers, John Costello and Jacques Torres for chocolate work. I admire so many of the Australian and New Zealand decorators but only know their work through the Australian wedding cake magazines.
