Hello,

I could use a little advice. I have a graduation cake order and I am a little worried about what color to use on my border. The cake is a sheet cake - 1/2 yellow and 1/2 chocolate. The writing on the cake is red and I am also adding a red & black cardinal head (school mascot), on either side of the writing. Should I leave the border trim white or use red, or black?

Also, is there any other way to ensure my cakes don't seperate once I place them next to one another. I was going to use icing to glue them together.

Thanks.

I use icing between my cakes and they do fine. I'd use white border, that way it won't take away from your design. Or if I used any color, I'd do a white border, then red and black "dots" every now and then on top of the white. (or nestled between the "shells" - if a shell border)

another thing that looks really pretty is maybe doing red and black(chocolate?)sprinkles on the white border...........
