I am going to do a baby shower cake for my cousin in July. She wants fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

She wants somethign cutsey but I know her and she is kinda sophisticated. I was thinking about closthline, or presents or somethign like that, but Im not sure If I can pull it off with whipped icing..

AND the whipped icing will be from the cake supply (i heard it tastes pretty good) hopefully they have small quantities I can try lol

I have been working with a White Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting.

The taste is delicious. To me, it has the texture of whipped cream, but has an incredibly in depth flavor.

The Recipe is>.....

36 ounces good-quality white chocolate (such as Baker's or Lindt,),
chopped
5 8-ounce packages cream cheese, room temperature
3 cups (6 sticks)unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup Cointreau or other orange liqueur

Stir 18 ounces white chocolate in top of double boiler set over barely simmering water until melted and smooth (do not let top pan touch water). Remove from over water; cool to barely lukewarm.

Using electric mixer, beat 2 1/2 packages cream cheese and 1 1/2 cups butter in large bowl until fluffy. Gradually add melted white chocolate, beating to blend well. Add 1/2 cup liqueur in 4 additions, beating to blend after each. Reserve remaining ingredients for second batch of frosting.

This is from epicurious.com

You can find it there... but be warned, make half of this little recipe to test it out first. There are a few challenge. The same challegences simlar to whipped creme in that it will not hold shape for long, and is fussy. Worth the effort to make happen though.

Also, through research and reading posted responses, adding confectioners sugar may help this little recipe give it some body to sustain itself through the warm weather.

Just TEST it first... strongly suggest.

The last whipped icing I used was very soft, so I just added scrolls and a simple border...AND I forgot to take a picture of it!! ARGH!

Are you planning on using fondant for decorations?

I'm offering a bump at least. Hopefully someone with more experience can help!

I did a whipped frosting cake and put my RI flowers from Wilton II on it. It was pretty. I kept the icing all swirly and nestled the flowers in the swirls. Maybe you could do something similar with little fondant presents and strawberries.

I've tried adding color to store bought whipped frosting and it doesn't work out too great, the frosting gets kinda thick and hard to work with. So what I usally use a mixture of bc and royal icing flowers.
