I do cakes & catering. I've only been open a little less than a year, & business has been terrific! This past Saturday, I did a meal for our local church (they were having a training for lay ministers & lectors). Anyway, one of the ladies called me as soon as it was over to rave about the food. She said she'd been hearing about my food, and when she arrived she hadn't planned on eating because she was going to a wedding in the afternoon. But, when she smelled the food she had to eat. Said it was wonderful!
Well, I tell you, things like that just make my day!

I had one wedding and one of my staff came into the kitchen to tell me one of the guests wanted to see the "lady in charge". (uh-oh!). So I go out and a gentleman just wanted to tell me how great the food was and how wonderful everything looked! (whew! big relief!). What was so neat was THREE OTHER PEOPLE asked my staff to send me out so they could tell me the same thing! I was so humbled that these people took time from a wedding celebration to ask for me so they could share their thoughts. I mean, they didn't just bump into me in the reception room .... they hunted me down! wow.....I was very complimented!
I bet that made you feel great. It's always nice to hear someone say they like the way you cook.
Nothing feels as good as positive feedback. Today I had some myself from a customer whose cake had icing literally falling off the sides of it the day before she picked it up. I had major repairs and anxiety attacks..when I saw her email in my inbox my stomach fell! But it turned out she and her son loved it. Whew.
