My son wants a cherry madeira sponge for his birthday and I know the sponge freezes well but I do not know about the cherries.

I never seem to have the time to make and decorate the cake just before his birthday and freezing the sponge means I can spread the workload.

He wants a triceratops and I have started to think of ideas. I have had a look in the gallery but they make me feel nervous.

Thanks for your time.

I've seen frozen cherries, the type in the frozen section in the supermarket, they hold their shape when thawed, but have a different texture. They taste fine, and generally look ok. Do you have a couple (hee hee, like you'd have just 2) to try?

Thanks for your reply I was getting lonely icon_cry.gif waiting for a reply.

I have given it a go and am hoping for the best. I need to shape it before I decorate it so I will be able to test it. icon_biggrin.gif
