I have my cookies made and on the sticks, but I need to know what I put in the pot to hold the sticks....floral foam? Those foam disk things? Foam ball? Also, do I wrap each cookie individually, or do I use some type of bag over the entire thing? Take them to the teachers tomorrow not covered wit hanything? Help!
I've used floral foam with good results. I just cut it down to fit in my container. I also individually wrap each cookie. I use the sandwich bags(I cut open the flap on them so both sides are the same length, if that makes sense) and then I tie the bag closed with a coordinating ribbon.
HTH!
Don't take them naked!!
I've used a few things to stick them into, but I've settled on the green "gentle grip" floral foam. I get one that can stand up at least 4 inches in my pot- to keep things secure. You'll probably have to trim the sides- I use a serrated knife for that. And then hot glue it to the bottom. I've also settled on cello bags for each individual cookie. Did shrink wrap on a few, but was too much of a hassle. (The grapes in my pics have shrink, and the grad caps have cello). I also think you need to wrap individually. If you wrap the entire thing, once it's opened- the cookies will start to go stale. In my opinion, the bags also help hold the cookies in place and stop them from spinning, because the bags butt up against one another and keep them still. How sweet of you to bring cookies for the teachers- I am a teacher and would love it! We have an awesome PTA here, so I'm not hurting for anything, though! Have fun and good luck!!!
I'm sure they will- post a pic when you're done!!!
...eh-hem...when you're FINISHED. I've had a discussion with someone about thet recently. Meat is done, people are finished. Meat is done, people are finished....
