its my boyfriends moms birthday on friday and for her cake she has requested flowers.
into my head pops a basket of flowers. nice purple hand made roses.
than it occurs to me how do i make the basket look like a basket? i was going to do a round basket thats slightly smaller at the bottom than the top but not sure if that would work or whether chunks of the cake would fall off? so i may have to do a round basket thats the same all the way down.
anyway, i looked on other peoples pics for some inspiration and everyone seems to be doing basketweave? never heard of this! im new to cake decorating and im self taught so i thought i would ask you fantastic people if anyone could let me know how to do this!
cant figure out how you get the under over bit to work!
if anyone could help with as simple instructions as possible please!
