Everytime I have to make dark colors like, navy, burgundy, and royal blue, I have I hard time getting the right color.

Can anyone tell me how to make these colors?

Also, How do you a make dark red that is not so bitter?

I have mastered the black icing, but I could use some help with these colors.

Thanks for your help

Americolors are the only ones I have found that can make dark colors. If it isn't quite dark enough wait a few hours as the color deepens as it sits.

Another vote for Americolor. It's the best hands down!!!

Also, don't make a large batch. The smaller the batches of icing, the more achievable the dark color is. Wilton makes a "no taste" red.
