Hi

I have a sponge cake iced in buttercream and I am going to be adding gumpaste figures to this.
The question is, can I place the cake with the figures on in the fridge overnight?

The client is to collect the next day and she will be placing the cake in the fridge till the party.

TIA

cant you send the figurine seperate and get her to place it on the cake right before the party? It might go soft in the fridge and ruin your cake

As a rule I don't put any gum paste figurines i nthe fridge, it may sweat and the colours may run

You really don't have to put buttercream cakes in the fridge. I never do, even when it is hot weather.
