Would This Cupcake/frosting Combination Work?

I'm making cupcakes for our school's Teacher Appreciation Week. "Beach" is going to be the theme. I want to make cupcakes that are half "sand" half "water." If I made coconut cupcakes with almond buttercream, does that sound good? I had thought about making lime buttercream, but thought it would be weird to have a lime flavor with blue coloring.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Okay, I don't like coconut or almonds, so maybe I'm not the right person to answer, but the first thing that came to mind was "Almond Joy"...that combo seems to work for them icon_smile.gif Jodie
