I keep reading about ganache? Is dont know if thats spelled right. What is it?

It is a type of chocolate frosting made with chocolate and heavy cream. You can pour it over a cake, let it set and spread it on, or make whipped ganache, which is similar to a chocolate whipped cream. Or you can let it set totally for a truffle consistency. Yep thats the correct spelling. I've seen it used to glaze a cake or as a filling between layers. I don't use it much think its too rich.

well i just got into cake decorating and the only thing i know about is buttercream frosting. HA HA! i have alot to learn.
