Everytime I make chocolate bcf, I have to add quite a bit of color to get it dark. Any suggestions?

Are you using liquid or paste color?. I use paste and I often find myself making things look too dark.

I use Wilton's recipe for chocolate buttercream, and have tried the darker chocolate version before and it comes out pretty dark. Not sure how dark you're looking for...

I use paste coloring. I'd really like the color to come from the chocolate but maybe that's not possible.
