I have had a few orders and have not remembered to ask this that or the other thing. Luckily the orders I have had haven't been strangers, but I assume that at some point, it won't be people I know and I don't want to seem like a moron calling back to ask basic questions. Does anyone have a checklist they could share for basic or wedding cake orders? Thanks. icon_smile.gif

pm your email address and I can send a basic order form I use when taking orders.

I bought from staples a basic order taking form that has a duplicate. It already has the main questions: Name, address, phone number, quanity, date, etc. I then ask them what flavors, filling and decoration and write it down right on the form. Its small enough that I keep it in my purse and by the phone. I have a larger one that is called drawn estimates, for wedding orders, where I can actuall draw the cake on the form and go over what they want.

When they pick up the cake, I give them their copy, where it has the total and the taxes due. When I do a wedding cake estimate, I give them a copy of their form. It all seems to work out ok!

I believe Luck's has like "cake ordering forms" but this seems to do me well...
