Does homemade cream cheese frosting need to stay refridgerated after you frost a cake with it? Thanks.

Yes. It's so delicious though, that it's worth the extra trouble.

A) a fool never asks a question and stays a fool forever. A learner, asks a question and seams a fool for a moment, but then is smarter.

B) WARNING>>> while very yummy, it's a bear to work w/ esp. if you have "hot" hands. HINT: divide frosting between 2 or 3 bags. use one while rest in fridge. change often.

In the bakery I worked in we never put our cream cheese icing in the fridge we kept it in large bins and marked the bin do not refridgerate or we couldn't use it the next day there is so much sugar in it that it should last several days. We always had inspectors coming and going and never had a problem.
