Hi,
I was wondering where you can get cheap pre-covered boards, also are they made out of wood, cardboard, or what?

What do you guys use for cake dummies, just styrofoam, how many times can you use them?

THANKS!!!!

I get the precovered boards at www.shopthebakersnook.com.. they are close to me so I just go there, I haven't seen if they have them online or not tho. And I get cake dummies from www.dallas-foam.com, cheapest anywhere! You can re-use them a million times if you cover them with plastic wrap first, I always buy Dollar Store icing to use on these too, you can just rip the plastic off and throw it all away, or scrape off the icing when you are done and re-use it.

The cake boards can be anything, cardboard, wood, whatever. I know Baker's Nook has both kinds.

HTH!

You don't have to wrap them in plastic wrap. I reuse mine all the time and I never wrap. BC goes right on the styrofoam.

I use my styrofoam dummies over and over. I scrape off as much of the fondant / icing as possible and then I stick them in the dishwasher. They come out perfect. Once they come out of the rinse cycle, I just lay them on a towel to air dry.
