Grocery Store Bakery Icing??

Does anyone have a recipe for the white icing used by grocery stores? It is so creamy and easy to spread but will hold flowers and shape all day w/o breaking down?? The Wilton icing too sweet.....

do you have a particular grocery store in mind. It seems that different stores use different icings.

Most of the stores here use a product called Bettercream. You buy it in a gallon paper jug in the frozen section. I just pour out what I need and whip it. It is not as sweet and holds up to heat.

I couldn't find it in the frozen section here. I had to buy the pre-whipped in 15 lb buckets. What store did you find it at?

I buy it at Cash & Carry. I am in Washington state, but I know it is at Restaraunt Supply Stores. You don't have to have a business usually to shop at them. Just call around and ask the bakeries in your area where they get it.

Do you have a Sams Club in your area? You can buy it in their bakery. Just ask the person behind the counter, they don't have it on the shelf.( Or not here, anyways).

The Sams club is where I got mine and it was the prewhipped. They didn't have the other. Maybe I"ll ask specifically for the stuff not pre whipped.
