Everybody Answer - What Is Your Favorite Decorating Tool?

I like my wallpaper smoother for smoothing iced cakes. It has a handle and the blade is about 4" long, just right for smoothing the sides of a cake.
I'm going to be boring and say my turntable! It's the one thing I wouldn't want to be without. Otherwise I have soooo many I couldn't possibly decide!
Ditto on the turntable. The kids bought me the tilting one for Mother's Day last year and I love it.
Got to be my palette knife - use it for smoothing, cutting and spreading and wouldn't be without it - all other tools I could use some household object to replace if I ever lost it - but not my pallete knife!
Actually, paintbrushes too, wouldn't be without them either.
p.s. can I keep my turntable too? It's actually a revolving cheese board, but would be tricky to work without it.
funny how with the number of fancy gadgets most of us have the basics are always (by the look of this thread so far) the best! Oh but I also love this plastic tool with metal rollers, I think it could be for cutting fettucine? It cost me 20c from the Salvation Army op shop. In a cake shop it would have been more like 20 dollars!
Can I have 3? I hate doing a cake without any of these.
TurnTable
5" Putty Knife - Mine is metal, and use it for smoothing the sides and top
Icing tip - I cant' ice a cake decent without one of these
my fork, means I'm done decorating and am now sitting down to enjoy the fruits of my labor!! And then to be serious.............would have to be my honey, with out him I'd have to stop what I was in the middle of and run to the store for what ever I am running out of and I wouldn't have the answer to the question I ask like a million times "does this look alright?"
I've just got to list 3 that I couldn't do without:
lazy susan turntable
bench scraper
paint roller
Turntable and Bench Scraper too.. I'd be lost without them. Gotta have that nice smooth base to create on.
Ateco turntable....6" palette knife....yeah that's pretty much standard for everything!
I use paintbrushes and the little plastic Wilton tools alot too but the above two things are a "can't live without". Oh yeah but for fondant cakes, my Roul Pat mat and my silicone rolling pin....
I have many, but my 2 favs are:
Viva papertowels
Ziploc Baggies!! I use them for all my different colors of icing...interchange them using the same icing bag... Store portions of icing... FBCTs... Choc transfers... etc... I'd have to say these are my FAV tools!!
Mine would have to be my pallette knife. I don't think I have ever decorated a cake and not used it.
my marble turntable, do cakes and fondant on it, my tips LOVE my tips always picking up extras and bench scraper
Does an apron count as a tool? I hope so because without it I would've ruined more clothes! I have ruined a couple of things because of grease stains.
I cannot seem to decorate without wearing at least some icing, powdered sugar, or color gel.
Clear Cake Sparkles and my mil taught me to dump it on between two sheets of paper and crush them with a rolling pin and put back in a larger shaker (with small holes). It gives a finer sheet without it looking like plastic pieces on your cake decorating.

turntable
high transfat shortening for cream BC icing!
My KitchenAid and My Kodak Easyshare Camera and printing dock for when the work is done
