What kind of buttercream is IMBC and what is it used for.......thanks

It is a butter based frosting. Used for pretty much anything you want. It is suppost to be able to stand some heat...but I'm not for sure about that.

OH...it stands for Italian Meringue ButterCream.

It is a very delicious buttercream, nothing like the crisco/butter/powdered sugar variety, smooth, light, not sugary, and yes, it is stable.

Here is a recipe if you want to try. There are many variations (flavors) you can create with the base recipe.
