Seriously, your cakes are beautiful! I wish I had your skill! and your ability to adapt to change!!!!!!! Not fair you get both!
I made my first batch of icing with the new crisco yesterday. NO problems here either. Smoothed out fine, VIVA'd just fine ~ so I guess I am another tomato target. I (like indi) add the liquid till it "feels" right though. It did seem stiffer at first, but I just added more liquid and it was fine. did a cake tasting for a wedding cake with it, 3 flavors of buttercream, and the bride and groom loved all 3 - had a hard time decideing which flavor they liked the best. Not a problem!
