# Of Cake Mixes

Can someone please tell me how many cake mixes I should use to make a 12x18x2in sheet cake. I found how many cups but I can't figure this out on my cake box Thank you!!!

Depending on the brand a cake mix makes 4-5 cups of batter.

I use 3 for the 12x18. Two for the 11x15. I don't use extenders or add anything to the mixes.

I usually use 3-4 mixes. I like it to bake tall, so I can level it to the pan. HTH
