Ok guys...I think I totally messed up on this cake(this is my first big one)
While torting 12" cake I didn't end up cutting straight and when I lifted the top layerit was totally uneven icon_sad.gif
I still filled the cake with ganache filling and put the top layer (which incidently is really thin from the middle) After the icing it looks perfectly ok BUT I want to ask you
WILL IT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON CUTTING THE CAKE? WILL UNEVEN LAYER SHOW AND WILL FILLING BE FINE????

pLEASE ADVICE

Thanks

I can't do anything in a straight line, including torting cakes. I can tell when the cake is cut, but I have never heard anyone else say anything about it! it will be fine!

It is not a big deal at all! I actually went to a wedding once with a sylvia weinstock cake, and her layer were uneven too! No one noticed but me... and I only did because I was so happy I didn't have to be OCD about it anymore. I figure if it is ok for her, it's ok for me icon_smile.gif

I'm still waiting for the day when I cut anything straight. I think if you proceed as planned it will be A ok.
