Help!!! Fbct Question

how do you all put the FBCT on the cake and have it level with the icing thats already on?? mine tend to be raised up on the cake, when i put them on.

help!!!!

Mine are usually a little higher up, too.

I have heard that to get them level, people make the transfer the entire size of the top of the cake. In other words, for an 8" round cake, make an 8" round circle, fill in the design in the center and then fill in all the way to the edge of the circle with the color you want the cake iced in.

I have not personally tried this yet, but it sounds like it would work.

The one I did was raised too. I think maybe if you wanted you could put a border around it, just depends I suppose.

I had to make a border around mine fbct.

I put mine on after the crumb coat, pipe a large outline around the FBCT, then add and smooth the rest of the top. Works like a charm !
