here's a picture of my pool table cake for my brother-in-law's birthday on sunday. i'm pretty happy with it... just kinda disappointed that i couldn't get the edges to stick up more (i had made extra cake to go underneath them but had no luck frosting under the fondant so i just gave up and made it one level). i also couldn't get the "wood" to look really dark with just kneading in the color so i painted it... that was my first time trying to paint and i think it turned out pretty good. then i had extra cake leftover so i made cupcakes and made them look like 8 balls with his name in them... anyways... a quick question... i have yet to glue down the balls and was wondering if anyone knows the correct order they go in to play "8 ball" for pool... if no one answers it's okay because my husband will know once he gets home from work... i want opinions on the cake though... also if you think i should add the markers that go on the wood... i think they're diamond shaped... thanks!
That cake looks AWESOME!!! My Dad is a huge pool fan, I think I may draw on your some inspiration this coming Father's Day. ... Man you even have the chalk!
I don't know the correct order of the balls, but I just wanted to say what a great job you did on this cake! It looks fantastic! And your painted "wood" looks amazing. He will love it!
nice cake. I didn't even know there was an order to the balls! What are the balls made of? Nice job!
1 ball at the top, 8 ball in the middle, alternate solid stripe solid stripe around the triangle. IN the row of 4 , it should be stripe, stripe, solid, stripe. Numerical order, besides the 1 and 8 does not matter.
Here's a link in case I make no sense. Disregard the lady next to it lol.
