I have to do a cake for Saturday. Is it OK if I bake it tonight (Thursday) and leave it covered on the counter to decorate tomorrow

If I have a cake due Saturday, Thursday is the latest I will bake it. That gives me time to decorate it on Friday. I just wrap mine in cling wrap and they are fine! If it is a large cake (sheetcake), I place it on the board and then wrap the whole thing in cling because it would be way to hard to transfer it to the board later.
HTH,
Heather

Thanks, so wrap it up and I don't have to put it in the fridge. Or I do?

It will be fine left out. Putting it in the fridge (or the freezer) is just a matter of choice.

No, you don't have to refrigerate your cake. Wrap it up in plastic wrap or place it in airtight container and leave on the counter...
