I'm looking to buy bags over the internet for my cookies. I like the FLAT cellophane bags, so I don't know what size to buy for a 4" cookie. Should I go for the 4 3/4 or go to a 5? And as far as length, if the cookie is 4 1/4 inches, what should the length be? Sorry, usually I just buy the bags from Michael's, but I want to buy more this time. TIA icon_biggrin.gif

Any cookie bakers out there?

Are you measuring the actually baked cookie or the cookie cutter? Remember they usually spread a bit. As far as length, you can always trim them down, but it's very difficult to tie a bag that is too short. I won't bother to tell you how I know that! icon_smile.gif

I wish I could help, but I've never actually paid attention to the size bags I use. icon_redface.gif

I just go to the cake decorating store, look at the bags and pick the ones I think are right for my cookies. I've never ordered them online.

MichelleM77 is absolutely right though: too short = not enough room to tie them up! icon_sad.gif
