Help With Cake Stand Options - Weddings

For those that have done 2 or more weddings, what stand do you use most? I'll be just starting out so I don't know if I should invest in purchasing one or just start with a masonite or wood form piece. What are your experiences in this area? Thanks for your opinions.
Well, I'll be doing my first wedding this August and because this will be a 6in cutting cake and then 140 brownies, I have bought the Tall Tier Stand. I've also bought a 2 tier 'floating stand', and am about to buy a 3 and a 4 tier floating stand too. For stacked cakes, I'm getting 14, 16 & 18in square wooden base boards cut for the actual cakes (so I can do cakes with 12, 14 & 16in bases), and then a 20in box stand made for them to sit on at the venue (from a carpenter friend). This is probably counting my chickens, but I want to be ready for all eventualities! I'm interested in seeing more experienced replies to this!
I have a masonite board, a thick piece of wood that came off of a computer desk I took apart (hey, it works lol), and I recently went to Fired Up, which is a pottery studio in town, and they had where you could paint a pizza stone and have it fired. So that's my round cake stand. It was kind of neat to design my own ![]()
