OK idol fans of all the performances from year 1 through year 5 which is your favorite song performance. Which 1 would you vote for if there was a poll.
I'll be first.....Clay Aiken- Bridge Over Troubled Water
Without a doubt for me and by far a clear winner
For me, it would be a toss up of Chris singing "Hemmorage" this season or Fantasia singing "Let's Give Em Something to Talk About" in season 3 semi-finals. Hard to say. I was sure Chris secured his title as the AI season 5 winner with his rendition of "Hemmorage" I also really liked his "I Dare You", even though the judges ragged on him about it. I thought he nailed it.
I didn't watch the first or second season though.
Don't forget Carrie Underwood singing "Alone" last season! 
I think Katherine sang a pretty good rendition of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" Even Simon said it was her best performance yet!!
I have to say I agree with rvallee, Chris's performance of "Hemmorage" was awesome!!! And, I too, thought that he would, no doubt, be the next American Idol!!!! I also greatly enjoyed his performance of Bon Jovi's "Wanted". I even taped him singing it on Live with Regis & Kelly and on Ellen!!!!

I can still hear Clay singing "Bridge Over Troubled Water". I thought it was incredible! He'll always be my favorite AI, even though he didn't win.
There was something magica about that performance that I haven't seen since. 
I agree it was amazing. I have yet to see anything that came close to that
My favorite so far is Fantasia singing "Summertime." I mean, the girl was crying real tears! This season I liked Taylor singing Joe Cocker. He does Joe Cocker better than Joe himself.
My favorite is Clay.. "Bridge over troubled water" was nothing less than amazing!!
i think my favs were Kat's Somewhere over the rainbow, and chris's Wanted. those two will always be my favorite idols!!
