Today I was presented with the opportunity to do a birthday cake and my new client and I decided to that the cake would be yellow cake with chocolate butter cream icing and cookies and cream filling (WBH recipe which is to die for). I did a cake with that filling once before and after I had put it all together I left it in the fridge until I had to deliver the thing. The only difference this time is about 60 degrees - it has been in the high 90s and I don't think that is going to change. They will have about a 30 minute drive from my home to theirs. If I chill this thing over night in the fridge will that be enough to get it to their house in one piece (just a 12 inch round 2 layers, not quite sure if I am going to torte the layers or not. I am thinking that if I do torte it and it becomes 4 layers I might add a center dowel just in case. The other concern is how much sweating this cake will do. Any insight? Thanks.

Get your car nice and cool before you leave...it should be fine. You could wrap the box in towels to insulate if you don't have a cooler that big.
