My Sister-in-law has been through a hellacious year. She was diagnosed with cancer and went through a really aggressive chemotherapy treatment. She finished chemo last month and her birthday is next month. I want to make her a REALLY special birthday cake.
She loves frogs and the color purple and fairies. She's turning 26. She is not married and lives at home with her parents still. She does face painting and is a real kid at heart. She's an awesome aunt to my kids.
I was thinking of doing a Frog Princess on the top of the cake made out of fondant but I can't figure out what else I could do. I'm up to any and all suggestions.

Definitely check the galleries! tuggy did a really cute frog prince cake.
I did check the galleries, and found Tuggy's cake. It's awesome. At first I was concerned, I was afraid it'd be too much about love - don't want to make it about love as she's sensitive about the fact that she's not experienced that. But I found a way around it, I've sketched an awesome cake and as soon as I'm done with the other project I'm working on, I'm going to start sculpting the frog for the top. I'm also going to write a short children's story to go with the cake called "The Frog Princess" and allow me 2 & 4 year old children "illustrate" it. She'll love that. Anyway, thought I'd fill in what I got from this site, it's AWESOME!
Since she loves fairies as well, maybe you could incorporate them also, along with the frog princess. Maybe do some along the sides or something. This sounds like it is gonna be an awesome cake, and I can't wait to see the finished product! So don't forget to Post pictures!!!
