Enhancing Strawberry And Chocolate Cake Mixes

I would like to do 3D cakes by using strawberry and chocolate cake mixes. For the strawberry cake, I would do use the cake mix extender recipe plus a package of pudding. But I was wondering in place of the water, would it be better to use a fruit juice blend (i.e. strawberry/banana juice) or strawberry flavored milk? Or instead of strawberry milk, could I just mix some strawberry syrup with milk? Or even if I do use the fruit juice blend or strawberry flavored milk, could I add in a couple of squirts of strawberry syrup or would that be unnecessary? Also, should I replace the 1tsp of vanilla for strawberry flavoring?
And ifor a chocolate cake, I plan on using the cake mix extender recipe and adding a box of chocolate pudding. Should I replace the water with chocolate milk or just mix some milk with chocolate syrup? And if I do use chocolate milk, can I add a couple of squirts of chocolate syrup or would that be unnecessary?
My main goal is for the cake to taste great, moist, and hold their shape well for the mini bear stand up 3D cake pan.
I just made an enhanced strawberry cake using the extender recipe, and I added a box of strawberry jello and replaced the liquid with pureed strawberries, it was delicious!
For chocolate cakes I use buttermilk in place of water, add a package of chocolate pudding, 4 eggs and the amount of oil called for. I also add a couple of spoons of cocoa powder.
Sometimes well add in some instant coffee crystals or us coffee in place of the water.
