Has anyone ever used the dream pie recipe (on the back of the dream whip box) as a filling? Any opinions?

I have not seen the recipe, but my mom used to make a dream whip/ pudding recipe that she would frost a cake with - people always loved it. It was kind of light and thick at the same time. (mmmmm memories)
