as a filling-

can I use this to torte a cake?

Do I need to do something with the strawberries ( sugar etc) before placing them?

Try this video. They made a cake with strawberries in the middle. I made it at home and just used their recipe for the whipped cream icing. I didnt care for the icing much, but it wasnt much thicker than whipped cream. You might try to stabelize it in some way though. The cake may obsorb the whipped cream.

I have made a filling with whipped cream and cream cheese for stability and sliced fresh strawberries right on top. No need to add sugar to the strawberries if there is already sugar in the WC/CC.

I used fresh strawberries with Cool Whip and it was delicious! It didn't seep into the cake and I didn't need to do anything to the strawberries beforehand.
