I need some ideas for a sweet 16 cake. She has not given me any ideas she says surprise me UGH! I have no ideas...HELP!

her likes: white tigers, wolfs, the show "HEROS", Fav color I think is red

not a girly girl but the girlyness is kind of coming out now. She said it could be shiney what ever that means. If you have ANY ideas I would love some input.
THANKS icon_smile.gif

Since you don't really have a theme, what about doing something retro. Use 3 or 4 colors, maybe stacked. Do you know her favorite color? You could do different shades of her favorite color and dust it to make is shiny. Here's a few of the cakes I like...

Thanks Fraggle
For the great ideas and the links to the pics.I'm thinking of using the dots idea. After seeing your name now I have the Fraggle Rock theme in my head icon_lol.gif

It looks like you might have an idea what you're going to do now, but I thought I'd tell you what popped into my head any way icon_redface.gif . What if you did the whole background of the cake in the "white tiger" pattern - white with black markings. Then you could have a red bow on top ( idk why I'm imagining a relatively large two or three tier cake?). You might not be making that large a cake but you could use the red for the sparkle with glitter or luster dust on circles and/or dots as suggested by fraggle's reference links. Maybe even make the no. 16 for the top and her name in gumpaste/fondant rope in the red sparkle, also?

I'm scared and nervous everytime I have to A. Make a cake and B. deliver or even when they are picking up the cake. icon_redface.gif I wait anxiously to know what they thought of the cake, too. icon_redface.gif But sometimes, I think, all that emotion is part of what I love about cake decorating... Again I say, you did great! judge.gificon_biggrin.gif

Lynda that is so true the emotions are part of it.
It makes you feel so good when you see there face light up when they see the cake for the first time icon_biggrin.gif
