I have a cake due this Friday. The bottom of the cake will consist of 7 10" oval cakes. I havent found anything to put the cake on. I have looked everywhere! I need something that is 32 inches round that will support the weight of the 7 ovals plus 4 additional tiers. I tried Lowes, but they wont cut a circle. Any suggestions?

What about going to Walmart and in the home decorating section.. you know those little round tables that people buy for their bedrooms... They are pretty cheap and the top would work great.... Just an idea

Thanks, I thought about that but it wasnt big enough. I will call the fabric store tomorrow. I think they carry a 36 inch one.
Thanks again.

I found, at Lowe's, a round, pre-cut piece of pine, 18" in diameter. It was in the aisle with the pre-cut square pieces of plywood, but it was shrink-wrapped. It's at least 1" thick and has lovely rounded edges. It was a whopping $9.84 (in my book, it's the steal of the century). In my photos, my latest cake with the pearls and buttons is sitting on it. It's thick enough to hold any cake. (I have NO idea what its intended use is). I wish I'd found it sooner.

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood the dimensions! I don't know if they have one bigger.

You might look for foamcore board at Michael's or Hobby Lobby (in the framing section). It comes in very large sheets and I think they can cut it in circles with the mat cutters. I would use a couple of layers of thickness, but it is very, very strong stuff, and I have read on these boards that other people use them as cakeboards.
