I've cut out my rolled buttercream and it won't stick to my cookie, what to do??????

I've never used rolled buttercream on my cookies...but I'll give you a bump because I know somebody here can help.

i couldn't wait any longer, so i brushed them with apricot glaze, sure hope this works.
but would appreciate any further ideas.
LOVEME, After I cut out the RBC I pop back into fridge or freezer for few minutes to get hard, it's easier to lay on cookies, then I dab some corn syrup onto cookie and lay the RBC on top. I then put the cookie on a pan and let them set for a bit before I wrap.
