is it at all possible for me to get a crash course in buttercream roses? I have someone who wants a birthday cake with roses on it and I'm ashamed to say that I don't know how to do them. icon_redface.gif The thing is, it's due Sunday. icon_cry.gif But, at least, it's going to be free (for a family member), so that's takes some of the pressure off. However, I really wanted to give this person a really nice cake. She never had that great of birthdays growing up and I wanted this one to be special. Is there any hope for me at all?

There is a tutorial on the wilton website that helped me a lot. I prefer the flower nail verses the stick. Consistancy is everything when making roses. I use a buttercream recipe from this site and add two tablespoons of powder sugar after I make the batch. Hope this helps.
