I've been trying to roll logs of fondant to make borders and designs for my cakes. For some reason, I can't seem to get a long peice that is very uniform in width. Is there an easier way to go about this? Should I try adding some Gum-tex? Is there something that I can squeeze the fondant through?

I'd like to know too since I'm making a snake for a cake soon!

If you have a sugarcraft gun, you can make ropes with it, but the standard size is pretty small, I am sure they make a big one for bigger cakes, just haven't seen it. Making the ropes with your hands takes some practice, getting the pressure right is the key.
