I will be making a seven cookie bouquet that has to be packaged and ready to be hand delivered by 10:00 pm on a Sat. night. Here's the details:
MMf iced cookies, all luster dusted, some of those with details stenciled with luster dust and some with mmf accents in luster dust on top. They will be shrink wrapped.
I need a timeline on when to start; early that morning(6-7 am) or the night before?
If the mmf is placed on hot cookie, does it still need time to dry once the cookie has cooled? If so, how long?
How long should I let the luster dust dry on the mmf before adding the detail and mmf accent pieces?
How long should the completed cookie set up before I start to shrink wrap? Thanks!
I personally would start today.
Bake, decorate with MMF today and do luster dust today. Do detail work tomorrow, bag and create bouquet on Saturday.

Me, too.

I just wanted to point out that this is due May 19th. I typed this post today (it's Thurs. even though the date on the post says Fri.) So you're saying bake and decorate with mmf on thurs, luster dust and details on fri and package and assemble on sat.
Could I start this late fri. afternoon (4 pm), luster dust and details late fri. night (11pm) and package early sat. morning (8 am) I'm trying to bake as close to Sat. as possible. Is this enough time for everything to dry in between steps?
If anyone can tell me exactly how long each step takes to set up/dry that would help me out alot.
Give yourself at least 2 days. You want to allow yourself plenty of time for your cookies to cool, ice, and harden. Second day finalize any decorations you may need to add, and start to assemble. If you want to, stretch it out to 3 days, just be sure to keep your cookies in an airtight container until you assemble. You will have no problems at all!
I always give myself 3. Bake and attach fondant/RBC the first day. Dry overnight. RI accents the second day. Dry overnight. Package and assemble the third day. I COULD RI early morning and package at night, if I had to, but I really think you need 3. They will be fine freshness wise, if that's what you're worried about ![]()
